The Val di Fassa is also appreciated by cross-country skiers for offering a wide choice of cross-country skiing trails and routes for a total of 51 km of slopes and 70 km for the Marcialonga course, an event organized every year the last Sunday of January.
Moreover, in the heart of the Fassa valley you will find during your winter holiday the Ciampac ring and the Fondo Alochet center at Passo San Pellegrino, for skiing until late in the season, being at high altitude.
The Val di Fassa also has a ring with night lighting at Ciancoal di Pozza di Fassa, just 20 minutes by car from the hotel Cima Dodici.
If you like cross-country skiing you cannot miss the great event organized every year on the last Sunday of January: the Marcialonga in the Fassa valley.
It is a world-class and exciting event, a cross-country skiing race, followed and attended by over six thousand Italian, German, Norwegian and many other competitors, who challenge each other in the enchanting scenery of the Fassa valleys, starting from Moena up to arrive, after 70 km, in Val di Fiemme in Cavalese.
Variations of the Marcialonga
In addition to the Marcialonga, the Marcialonga Light is also organized, a shorter but still intense race, suitable for those who are less trained and for the little ones. This Marcialonga Light is 45 km and ends in Predazzo.
