Activities for families and children at high altitude
Val di Fassa offers countless opportunities for an active holiday, both summer and winter, dedicated to wellness with your family and children. Every day, you can take advantage of the services offered by the Hotel Cima Dodici for families, dedicating time and attention to your children. But Val di Fassa also offers countless places for activities year-round, even for the littlest ones.
In the heart of the Dolomites, you'll find countless experiences dedicated to both adults and children, allowing you to reclaim precious time that can be difficult to dedicate to the people you love during the year due to work and a myriad of commitments.
Acropark Val di Fassa
If you and your children love fun, adrenaline, and sports, you're in the right place! At the Acropark Val di Fassa, your children can climb ropes, bridges, and tightropes, feeling like true heroes of nature like Tarzan!
The trails last an average of 30 to 60 minutes and are designed for everyone: adults, children, and seniors, all of whom must be physically fit. Each participant will be provided with a personal protective equipment (PPE), a safety kit that will be explained before starting the trail.
Paveneggio Natural Park
The Paveneggio Natural Park near the Pale di Sa Martino is about 55 minutes from the Hotel Cima Dodici in Vigo di Fassa and is a truly excellent opportunity to enjoy relaxing days surrounded by the flora and fauna of the Dolomites.
The park regularly hosts concerts, cultural events, events, and workshops for children and families, as well as excursions and storytelling sessions to introduce you to the park and all the plants and animals that live there. There is also a large enclosure home to numerous deer, the kings of the mountains and forests.
Within the Paveneggio Natural Park, you'll also find trails ideal for walking with small children. They're semi-flat and immersed in the unspoiled nature of the Dolomites, and you can quickly reach the Colbricòn lakes, about 40 minutes away. If you prefer, you can continue along other trails marked by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club), reaching San Martino di Castrozza, from where you can return to the park and Passo Rolle by bus.
Hiking and mountain biking with the family
During your summer green week in Val di Fassa, you'll have the opportunity to spend a day on a bicycle or mountain bike, pedaling peacefully, even with your children, admiring the enchanting landscapes and enjoying picnics and lunches in a mountain hut or refuge.
Starting directly from the Hotel Cima Dodici in Vigo di Fassa, you can reach routes and trails ideal for a day of mountain biking.
Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites Bike Path
Among the most interesting routes in the Fassa Valley, starting from our hotel, you can explore the Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites bike path. This route is also suitable for families with children, alternating between small bridges, forest paths, and pastures. Along the trail, you'll find numerous playgrounds for your children and rest areas where you can enjoy a snack or a picnic.
The convenience of this route, the Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites Bike Path, is also the option of returning by bike thanks to the Bike Express: a bus equipped to carry mountain bikes, which runs three times a day, every day of the week.
In the Fassa Valley, we remind you that there are many theme parks for all children who love cycling and mountain biking.
For example:
Skillpark in Canazei: an easy trail with walkways and jumps.
Carezza Trail for more experienced and older children: 4.4 km long, with a 500-meter elevation gain, an average gradient of 11%, and numerous parabolic and banked turns. At the start of the trail, there's also a small park for mountain bikers to practice jumps and stunts.
