Snowshoeing, sledding, ice skating...
Val di Fassa is also appreciated by cross-country skiers for offering a wide range of routes and loops with a total of 51 km of trails and 70 km along the Marcialonga route, an event held every year on the last Sunday of January.
Moreover, right in the heart of Val di Fassa, during your winter holiday you will find the Ciampac loop and the Alochet Cross-Country Center at Passo San Pellegrino, where you can ski until late in the season thanks to the high altitude.
Val di Fassa also offers a night-lit loop at Ciancoal in Pozza di Fassa, only a 20-minute drive from Hotel Cima Dodici.
The Marcialonga
If you like cross-country skiing, you cannot miss the great event held every year on the last Sunday of January: the Marcialonga in Val di Fassa.
It is a worldwide exciting event, a cross-country skiing race attended by more than six thousand competitors including Italians, Germans, Norwegians, and many others, racing in the enchanting scenery of the Fassa valleys, starting from Moena and finishing after 70 km in Val di Fiemme at Cavalese.
Marcialonga variants
Besides the Marcialonga, the Marcialonga Light is also organized, a shorter but still intense race, suitable for less trained skiers and children.
This Marcialonga Light covers 45 km and finishes in Predazzo.
